Chris Geier, PE

Vice President

Orange County

Chris, Vice President and Regional Manager for Marx|Okubo’s West region, is responsible for a broad range of services, including design and constructability reviews, property condition assessments, owner’s representation, detailed cost analysis, periodic construction observation services, and seismic risk assessments.

For over 25 years, Chris has been actively involved with most types of commercial real estate, including industrial, multifamily, hospitality, retail, office and self-storage properties. He draws upon his experiences in the design, construction, and maintenance of commercial buildings, which allows clients to make informed decisions about their real estate holdings.

Chris has served as the principal evaluator for several of the largest resorts in the world in Las Vegas, Nevada, including Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Aria, and Vdara. With over 18,000 guestrooms amongst these facilities and tens of thousands of employees needed to operate the hotel continuously, each hotel is a small city unto itself. Chris mobilized large teams rapidly to meet expedited deadlines to perform property condition assessments on each facility, which were all planned and executed with no disruption to hotel operations.

Chris also served as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) on behalf of the United States Navy in a significant new construction project. A Public/Private Partnership (P3) was formed between Manchester Financial Group and the United States Navy to construct a new headquarters for the Navy’s Pacific Southwest fleet. On site at the project frequently during the construction process, Chris led the team to review construction documents for overall compliance with the Navy’s project design criteria and requirements as well as ensured that the construction conformed to the approved design.

Chris holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of California - Los Angeles and is a licensed civil engineer in California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington State.
