Joseph, Assistant Vice President and Director of Mechanical Engineering, oversees the technical areas of Marx|Okubo’s mechanical, electrical and fire protection services. He has over 40 years of experience in consulting engineering, including surveys, evaluations and design of building systems
Joe’s areas of expertise include facility and property condition assessments; building diagnostics and forensic investigations; energy assessments and consulting; ENERGY STAR benchmarking; LEED consulting; LEED GAP analysis; APPA maintenance and custodial evaluations; IAQ proactive monitoring, complaint response and mitigation; commissioning of new and existing buildings; systems training; operations and maintenance reviews; and design peer reviews.
Joe has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a multi-disciplinary certificate in energy engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a registered engineer in Georgia, Colorado, Tennessee and Ohio. Joe is also a Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional (CIAQP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Accredited Professional, as well a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Association of Energy Engineers, U.S. Green Building Council and National Fire Protection Association.
