Based in Marx|Okubo’s Mountain-Midwest region, Kathy is responsible for quality control and training throughout the firm. She brings to the firm over 20 years of experience in design and construction consulting services, including full-service architectural scope-of-work contracts, from programming through project close-out, with an emphasis on construction administration services and property condition assessments.
Prior to joining Marx|Okubo, Kathy was managing principal and president of her own Denver-based architectural firm whose work on historic restoration and preservation projects won design awards from both the Colorado Historical Society and Colorado Preservation, Inc.
Before starting her own practice, Kathy excelled in contract administration, construction monitoring, quality assurance, space needs analysis and historic structure assessments for both large- and small-scale commercial and public-sector projects. She also directed projects with budgets totaling over $90 million during a five-year appointment as chairperson for the Archdiocese of Denver Parish Project and Finance Review Council.
Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Colorado and is a licensed architect in Colorado. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
