Marx|Okubo was engaged to manage a multi-faceted program to evaluate 16 county facilities (totaling 453,570 square feet) for their operational efficiencies and physical conditions as well as the potential impacts to capital planning and spending.
Our team collected and managed input and data from all building systems to evaluate energy efficiency, energy usage auditing and utility cost analysis, including data analytics. Marx|Okubo coordinated structural/seismic evaluations and reviewed reports on the libraries, as well as reviewed and analyzed documentation in order to perform a deep dive into building envelope issues on one of the libraries.
For this portfolio of projects, our team was able to work with the county and provide program-wide data assembly, data analysis and relevant deliverables. Marx|Okubo’s efforts shed light on cost variables and physical attributes that could be managed to increase energy efficiency and physical durability while reducing capital costs.
