Marx|Okubo performed a property condition assessment as well as structural engineering and accessibility services for this six-building, 583,000-square-foot campus adjacent to the Santa Monica Airport.
Due to the range of building types, ages and configurations exhibited in the park, the project came with some inherent challenges. Ultimately, Marx|Okubo provided accurate reports that highlighted short- and long-term capital expenditure needs, as well as code and energy efficiency-driven issues that would yield a more useful and efficient new headquarters for the client.
Marx|Okubo was hired due to the firm’s ability to quickly mobilize a fully-integrated multidisciplinary team including in-house architectural and engineering experts, which allowed the client to meet tight deadlines for relocating a large work force. This project underscored Marx|Okubo’s genuine understanding of the specific needs of clients in the technology space.
