ASSET TYPES: Education
In addition to full facility condition assessments, Marx|Okubo performed energy audits for over 400 buildings (10+ million square feet) on various college campuses across Georgia as a part of a state-wide effort to improve building performance and control costs. The data from the energy audits was integrated with a capital asset management system (CAMS) to allow campus engineering and financial planning teams to manage the facilities condition and better plan expenditures for energy conservation.
These services are especially relevant to any public agency trying to manage an evermore complex set of factors in an age of tightening revenues. Our studies outlined a series of specific energy conservation measures on a building-by-building basis. A payback analysis was provided with each ECM to allow campus planners to decide which merited investment. Our reviews developed ECMs which could develop tens of millions of dollars in potential savings over the coming years.
